More news from Nintendo! Sounds good to me…or is it? I will be writing this live as I watch it! 🙂
Since I hate Super Smash Bros., all I can say here is SNORE. Mewtwo and Lucas DLC…who cares? I certainly don’t. I know that the franchise is very popular, but I feel that rather than spend time developing boring DLC characters and Mii costumes, perhaps new and exciting games could be developed! Honestly, the whole idea that the Mother series is living on through Super Smash Bros. is the BIGGEST slap in the face to Mother fans. HOW ABOUT A NEW MOTHER GAME? Or perhaps an English release of Mother 3 rather than showboat Lucas only in a fighting game? Ugh. That Lucas Amiibo doe…
Sampling old NES and SNES games for three minutes on Amiibo? I do not see the appeal at all.
Mario Maker looks pretty neat, but I don’t think it would be a Day 1 buy for me. Although it looks like it could be a lot of fun with the whole sharing aspect, I fear that it will get boring very fast like Little Big Planet.
Yoshi’s Woolly World looks absolutely gorgeous…but if it’s anything like recent Yoshi games, it will be extremely easy and get VERY boring fast. There are two difficulty modes, which leads me to think that maybe there will be some kind of challenge…but is the classic mode already easy? Time will tell. That yarn Yoshi Amiibo though…DAMN I NEED THAT.
Splatoon looks like a lot of fun, especially for an AGP game night!!! Like some of the other games I have mentioned though…I fear it will be really fun right away, and then players will tire of it quickly. Nintendo is seriously going HARD on the Amiibos. Wow. Splatoon Amiibos? Meh, not for me.
Nintendo 64 and Nintendo DS games are being added to the Wii U virtual console, which is awesome actually; however, the only thing that makes me face palm harder than Captain Picard is the fact that shouldn’t the Nintendo DS library go onto the Nintendo 3DS eShop??? Sometimes I don’t get the logic used at Nintendo.
For eShop titles, the Adventures of Pip looks really interesting! That is one that either I or my boyfriend would probably purchase. I’ll admit that most of the eShop titles announced were more interesting than most of the Nintendo main titles…sad ain’t it?
So the crossover game for Fire Emblem and Shin Megami Tensei looks AWESOME. I don’t care what anyone says, that looks like something amazing. The potential here is enormous and I have a really good feeling about it. When it will actually be released is anybody’s guess. I cannot wait for this!!! The modern day setting looks really fun and I like the idea of the two worlds colliding.
The new Fatal Frame game looks fantastic as well. Finally! Some cool games are being announced!!! That Super Smash Bros. garbage was making me sweat.
Box Boy for the Nintendo 3DS looks pretty neat and I can definitely see myself purchasing it. Turns out it’s available today actually! I’ll keep it in mind for sure.
Pokemon Rumble…SNORE.
WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH THE LACK OF 3DS TITLES? Did Nintendo just forget about it? What gives? I realize they are trying really hard to promote the Wii U and get people to buy it…but dammit, I want some epic 3DS games!
The puzzle games for the 3DS look too much like a shitty mobile game. #basic
Like seriously…they are only announcing eShop 3DS titles…what is going on here? This is seriously awful!!!
I realize that Xenoblade Chronicles 3D is an amazing addition to the 3DS library because it is SOOO rare to find on the Wii…but I am tired of hearing about cool ports and eShop titles…show me some NEW GAMES!!! Also Xenoblade Chronicles 3D on the New Nintendo 3DS…annoying.
The new Fire Emblem game for the 3DS looks absolutely amazing and I am interested in the idea that your character is the main protagonist. The cut scenes are beyond gorgeous from what I saw in the trailer. This is what I want Nintendo! NEW GAMES! WOO! Despite it being one of the only ones… A 2016 release though…that is horrible. So for 2015…there are next to no Nintendo 3DS games!!!
Animal Crossing News…SNORE.
The new DLC for Mario Kart 8 is going to be epic and I have been waiting what seems like a year for it. I think about it wayyyy too often. I could care less about the Animal Crossing characters, I just want the new tracks. The fact that it is being released on April 23, 2015 instead of May is making me drool. I CANNOT STOP.
WOAH! 200cc for Mario Kart 8? DAMN, MY BODY IS READY. *insert Reggie picture here* … 😛
And that was it for the Nintendo Direct. I would say overall a disappointment, but there were some really cool titles there. I am really excited for the new SMT x FE game the most I think, and quite frankly, it was one of the only games mentioned that we had never seen before!!! Almost everything else was information on titles we have all heard about, like Yoshi’s Woolly World, Splatoon, Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, etc… No news on Zelda Wii U? No news on Xenoblade Chronicles X? Nintendo, whyyyyy? Anyway, a decent direct from Nintendo, but by no means one of their best.
